Our business is to provide you with the right framing products that can be curved to make your job fast, easy and accurate. Our website is filled with tools to do that, like videos, project details, technical information, calculators, diagrams and more. Similarly, our office is occupied by people ready and waiting to make your next curved installation a success.
Our tools and staff combine forces when you need to bend one of our products to a very large curve, a 100-foot or more radius. When that happens, you can order a radius template from us. The template comes printed on a 10-foot-long sheet of paper. Flex-C Trac, Flex-C Angle or Flex-C Arch can be set on the paper and curved to match the shape.
Flex-C Trac is a flexible metal track that gives contractors an easy way to frame high-quality curves with wood or metal studs. Flex-C Trac is made of galvanized steel and is available in 16, 18 and 20 gauges in a wide variety of metal framing widths.
Flex-C Arch, manufactured to accommodate most doorway and window arch applications, is used to frame arches in a fraction of the time compared with traditional methods. With 20-gauge Flex-C Arch, you can easily form arches on site or shop for them ahead of time.
Flex-C Angle accommodates framing angles where studs meet when creating curved soffits, walls, ceilings or cloud details. Flex-C Angle also is made of galvanized steel and is available in 16, 18 and 20 gauges in several widths.
For installation of these systems, you:
· First, bend the track to the desired position. The pivotal sections make it easy to create the perfect curve with no uneven or flat spots.
· Second, on a hard surface like concrete, hammer the Hammer-Lock tabs to embed them into the web of the track. This secures the shape. For added strength, self-tapping screws can be installed into the side of the Flex-C Trac.
· Third, fasten the track to the floor or ceiling.
If determining the desired curve of the track is slowing you down or you want to verify your calculations, please reach out. Mark Twain said, “The secret to getting ahead is getting started. The secret of getting started is breaking your complex, overwhelming tasks into small manageable tasks, and then starting on the first one.”
So get going on a manageable task with us, and let us help you determine the radius layout for you next install.
